THE SPOTTED DOLPHIN ENCOUNTER IS  OPEN!

The Spotted Dolphin Encounter is the Dolphin Interaction Program of Florida’s Gulfarium. It offers an up-close and personal hand-to-flipper encounter with two of our Pantropical Spotted dolphins, Kiwi and Daphne. A trainer will guide you through the 40 minute interactive session with two of our friendliest resident dolphins. You’ll have a chance to get in the water with them, learn their training behaviors, and even have them sit in your lap. They love people of all ages and eagerly await meeting and playing with new friends. 
 

The Spotted Dolphin Encounter offers a chance to meet both Kiwi and Daphne. Daphne is a recent addition to Florida's Gulfarium. Daphne is also a Pantropical Spotted dolphin and although young, she is proving to be an excellent student. She also loves human interaction and our trainers are proud of her quick accomplishments.  Daphne has been a welcome addition to our family of animals and she is now a vital part of our Dolphin Interaction Program.

Spotted Dolphin Encounters are available between 9 AM and 4 PM, seven days a week for ages 4 and up. Children ages 4-6 require a paying adult in the water with them at all times. Advance reservations and deposit are required.  Gulfarium policy, as well as Florida Law, prohibits the public from swimming with Kiwi and Daphne. Due to this policy, all time will be spent on the steps (in the water) allowing the dolphins to come to you.  
 

The cost of the Spotted Dolphin Encounter is $125.00 per person who enters the water. A paying adult must be present in the water with children ages 4-6. All observers of the encounter pay $25.00 for adults (12 and over) and $18.00 for children ages 4-11, 3 and under are free with a parent. These prices include the encounter, admission to the park for all shows, and animal exhibits. 

Spaces are limited on a first come first serve basis. A minimum of 24-hours notice is required. During the summer season waiting periods may be as long as 2 to 3 weeks.
