The series begins with the famous
top deck Dolphin Show, featuring our
trained Bottlenose Dolphins performing in our main tank. You will then proceed to our
indoor, air-conditioned Living Sea Theatre to watch a
real SCUBA diver performance and demonstration.
Following this show is a kids'
favorite, the Sea Lion Show.
Prepare to laugh as these animals always keep our trainers on their toes. Rounding out the program
of shows is our Multi-Species
Show, with Bottlenose Dolphins and a California Sea Lion performing side-by-side.

The Dolphin Show The
Dolphin Show gets your day started as you watch Bottlenose Dolphins perform
in over 500,000 gallons of filtered Gulf of Mexico
saltwater. The dolphins enjoy showing off their speed and agility in performing
various acrobatic high jumps
and other behaviors. We welcome our visitors to stand along the tank's
railing for a close and personal look at our performing dolphins. Kids love
the audience participation as they may get wet standing in the “splash
zone,” while a dolphin receives a touch down pass. |

Our bleacher
seating area offers a shaded place to rest your feet while still enjoying
the show. You can almost see eye-to-eye with the dolphins as they jump for a
ball suspended 25 feet above the water's surface! Or you can get a
unique underwater view of the dolphins, from the many windows located
on 2 floors. You will also learn about the Bottlenose dolphins’ dietary
needs, cooperative abilities, and communication skills. Our Dolphin
Show gives people of all ages an up-close view of these amazing, energetic,
and friendly animals. |

The Living Sea Show
In 1955, Florida’s Gulfarium pioneered the
techniques used in obtaining, filtering, and maintaining crystal clarity of
the Gulf of Mexico saltwater. This technology was used to create the the
Living Sea exhibit in 1956. The Living Sea is a panorama of sea life found
in local waters and is located in a 60,000 gallon aquarium of circulating
water. |

The Sea Lion Show
This show gets everyone laughing with the playful
antics of our charismatic California Sea
Lions. They love to display their amazing balancing ability in addition to
other behaviors like flips and spins. They also enjoy playing sports like basketball, and
tossing around a Frisbee with our trainers. It's almost impossible not to smile and laugh
as the sea lions clap and bark for one another like enthusiastic cheerleaders.

The Multi-Species Show
Unique in the entire world, the Multi-Species Show features Bottlenose
Dolphins and a California Sea Lion performing together in the same
show! Both species of animals demonstrate their intelligence by performing graceful
leaps synchronized with split-second accuracy. Dolphins and sea lions are not
natural friends in the wild, but they are not enemies either. This show features
our sea lion feeding a fish to a dolphin, demonstrating the ability for these 2 different
species to show signs of friendship towards one
another. |

After the show, our trainers often host a question and answer period where our visitors will have additional opportunities to pet the dolphins. The availability of our trainers to answer questions and interactions with the dolphins are not guaranteed but we make every effort to please our visitors. Photo sessions with one of our young female California Sea Lions are also available. The cost is $5 per photo and up to 4 people are allowed to sit with the sea lion. All materials are supplied by Florida's Gulfarium. Photo sessions are not guaranteed as the health and temperament of the sea lions determines their availability. |
