Dolphin Therapy at Florida's Gulfarium Our dolphin interaction program, known as the Spotted Dolphin Encounter, is taking on greater importance. This program has been used to assist children with special needs and the success of it's results has led to the launch of The JF Dolphin Project. This project combines the expertise of a human therapist working with a child, a Pantropical Spotted dolphin, and a dolphin trainer. Brandy, our newest 3 year old dolphin star, was named after our founder and president, John "Brandy" Siebenaler, who passed away in Feb. 2000.
Florida's Gulfarium was closed for more than 6 months after Hurricane Opal hit in 1995.

A favorite attraction for all ages is our live touch pool. It's filled with gentle sea creatures that are safe to pick up and hold.
We have a Spotted Dolphin Encounter where you can actually get in the water with one of our dolphins!
We have the only two Pantropical Spotted Dolphins in captivity in the entire world!
We do birthday parties, family reunions, and special events - you can rent out the whole park!
Our Summer Camp and liquid lab is a week long journey into the aquatic world of sea life!
We have 10 animal exhibits as well as 4 live marine shows!

the things people say around here... 2. Are all your animals alive? (phone conversation) 3. Do you let the dolphins swim in the Gulf after the shows? 4. What time does the 4 o’clock Dolphin Show start? 5. Is the wire over the Penguin Exhibit so they don’t fly away? 6. How old are those dolphins? (while pointing to the 3 Sea Lions) 7. Can you make those dolphins talk like humans? 8. Are penguins actually baby killer whales? 9. Did you go out and catch the baby dolphin? 10. That’s a baby sea otter. (pointing to the Zebra Moray Eel in the aquariums) 11. How come they don’t have a face? (referring to a sea star) 12. Oooh, they have sea money!!! (pointing to a sand dollar) 13. Where are the lions? (asked 5 or 6 times looking for the land animals) 14. Look at the baby sea lions (pointing to the Otters) |
